Outcome:
I gave Mary the option of starting with a custom nutrition plan. She chose to go with custom nutrition and do biofeedback. She started with Min-Chex for depression, Thyrotropin PMG and organically bound minerals for her thyroid, choline for the gallbladder (belching) and enzymes. I also suggested she see an acupuncturist for liver/gallbladder issues. We started with counseling sessions. Mary revealed that she enjoyed being in her children’s lives and supporting her husband with his work. She didn’t have time to feel empty until the children went away to college. She admitted to letting herself go and not keeping up with her appearance because the children’s lives were so active with her help. Her husband no longer asked her to company functions and his conversation with her had changed. Mary didn’t need much counseling; she needed a change in the direction of her life. She was ready to find herself and to become attractive again. After a few counseling sessions Mary was ready for coaching to begin her new direction.
Mary found out that her true passion was cooking. Her daughter had diabetes so she created new ways for food to taste flavorful and had become quite skilled at it. She had her whole family on a diabetic meal plan and they couldn’t tell the difference. She has begun to work on a “tasty food” cook book for diabetics. We worked with the spiritual and emotional aspects of her life with biofeedback. Mary’s hormones balanced out due to the whole foods nutritionals and she was no longer depressed. She no longer slept the day away and has joined the Oprah book club and keeps up with the readings. She has also joined online chat groups and created a Spirit Group meeting in her home every other weekend. One of her long range plans included returning to school to complete her degree in World Literature.
Mary now feels productive and alive again. She has the smile back in her eyes. Her husband likes the change and agreed to do couples counseling. It was never confirmed if her husband was having an affair, she just suspected it. Mary is sticking to her nutritional plan. In her last check in with me she said she has begun to loose weight without effort and was concerned. I told her to rejoice because it sounds like the thyroid is back on board. I did recommend a check up with her doctor to screen for diabetes just in case.
